The Department deals with matters related to the promotion and implementation of the Rural Development Program  2014-2020 and tasks connected with the implementation of the Fisheries and Sea Operational Programme, for which the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development is the Managing Institution. It controls the correct use of the funds of the programme beneficiaries and coordinates educational projects for beneficiaries of the implemented programs. The Department cooperates with external institutions to implement the agricultural and rural development policy as well as the Region development programmes.
