The Department's competences:

The Department is the executive body of the Board of the Wielkopolska Region, it serves as the Managing Authority of the European Funds for Wielkopolska 2021-2027 Program, being part of the Priorities financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Just Transition Fund.

The tasks of the Department include in particular: conducting recruitment and assessing applications for funding, concluding contracts for selected projects, monitoring implementations of actions, including accepting changes in projects, settling expenses and controlling them under the European Funds for Wielkopolska 2021-2027 Program. The Department also participates in the development of instructions regarding the principles of selection, implementation and settlement of projects for Beneficiaries.

The activities covered by support include primarily investments contributing to increasing energy efficiency and the development of sustainable urban mobility, support for educational, social and health care infrastructure, as well as support for research and development potential and activities and the development of e-services.

The activities implemented by the Department are also carried out in the form of financial instruments from the European Union under the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Program for 2014-2020 (JEREMIE 2 and JESSICA 2) and European Funds for Wielkopolska 2021-2027.

The Department supervises the management and use of the entrusted funds, i.e. funds returned from financial instruments implemented under the WROP, by Wielkopolski Fundusz Rozwoju sp. z o. o.
